There are several ways I can write your blog:

  • We can have a conversation about the topic you want to write about and I will use that to put an article together.
  • You might have an archive of material such as a podcast or research, which I can go through and pull blog post ideas from.
  • You can send me notes or a voice memo and I will use those to write your posts. 
  • You can set the topic and ask me to go and research it.

Yes. I pay attention to your tone of voice, whether you write as yourself or a company. If you are not sure what your tone of voice is, we will discuss this on the strategy call.

I usually write around 800 words.

Not if you don’t want them to. I ghost write (sometimes called white label) a lot of articles for companies. I don’t share who my clients are unless they say it’s ok for me to do so. 

A regularly updated blog is an opportunity to keep your customers updated with the latest news about your company and trends in your industry, as well as helping them by answering their questions. It’s an opportunity to share your knowledge and give people the inside scoop on what is happening. 

New articles also give search engines a reason to return to your website.

I offer a draft and up to two revisions. This gives us plenty of opportunity to make sure you have an article you are happy to share.

We could come up with 12 topics for articles during our strategy session, however, you might want to write about different things during the course of the year. For instance, you might develop a new method you want to talk about, or share news from a conference you have been to. By looking at your blog quarterly, we can make sure you are staying on top of the latest news in your industry and keeping people up to date with what’s happening in your business.

I offer a monthly retainer package if you would like to blog weekly. It costs £600 for 4 articles. The minimum commitment is 3 months.

We will have a free 15 minute discovery call to make sure we’re a good fit. You book that by filling in the form at the bottom of the page and I will be in touch with you to arrange a phone or Zoom call. 

I will ask you some questions about your business, existing marketing strategy and blog in preparation for the strategy call.

The strategy call will take place about a week later. It lasts 1 hour and is an opportunity for us to identify stories in your business and opportunities for you to share relevant and engaging information with your customers. During this call we will develop a plan for the first three articles.

When each batch of 3 articles is delivered, we will have a follow-up call for us to talk about the material you have received and plan the next three. Dates for all calls will be arranged at the start of the year.

If I need to interview you or a member of your team for articles, we will arrange that at least 6 weeks before each new batch of articles is due.

I work with SEO specialist Andrew Cock-Starkey. Andrew has been working in digital marketing for two decades. He runs the popular Optimisey SEO meet-up in Cambridge and is a self-confessed SEO nerd. He keeps up with the latest developments in SEO to help people get better quality traffic to their websites. 

We need access to your Google Analytics and Google Search Console (if you don’t have this already, we can get you set up, depending on your CMS). If you have a Google Tag Manager account, we’ll use that too.
